Terms of service

These terms govern use of bgready (the “Service”), operated by Codepower OÜ (“we”, “us”), registry 17543223, Ahtri tn 12, 10151 Tallinn, Estonia. By creating an account or using the Service you agree to them.

1. The service

bgready provides automated background removal, optional background replacement (colour, image, blur, AI), batch tools, a browser editor, HTTP API and shop plugins. Features may change as we improve the product.

2. Accounts

Provide accurate details and keep credentials secret. You are responsible for activity under your account and API keys. We may suspend accounts that abuse the Service or violate these terms.

3. Credits and payments

Some features (for example HD download and AI generation) consume credits. Credit packs are sold via Stripe Checkout when payments are enabled. Prices appear on the pricing page. See the Refund policy for unused packs and EU withdrawal acknowledgements collected at checkout.

4. Your content and acceptable use

You retain rights to images you upload. You grant us a limited licence to process, store and transmit them solely to provide the Service (including via sub-processors). You must have the rights to upload the material. You must not upload unlawful content, or images of people without a lawful basis and necessary rights/permissions. Do not disrupt the Service, bypass credit or rate limits, probe other users’ data, or use the API for spam or unlawful purposes.

5. API limits

API use is subject to published rate limits, credit rules and fair-use constraints. We may throttle or suspend keys that threaten platform stability or security.

6. Processor role / DPA

Where you upload content that includes personal data of others, you are the controller and we process that content as your processor under the Data Processing Addendum, which applies by reference to these Terms.

7. Retention

Uploaded images and job outputs are retained for approximately 24 hours, then deleted automatically. Do not treat the Service as long-term storage.

8. Affiliate programme

If you join the partner / affiliate programme, the Affiliate terms also apply.

9. Third-party processing

Background removal and AI generation may be performed by infrastructure and model providers under contract with us (see Privacy Policy). Payment card data is handled by Stripe; we do not store full card numbers.

10. Disclaimer

The Service is provided “as is”. Cutout quality depends on the source image. We do not warrant uninterrupted availability. To the extent permitted by Estonian and EU law, our liability is limited to the amount you paid us for credits in the three months before the claim.

11. Changes

We may update these terms. Continued use after publication constitutes acceptance. Material changes will be highlighted when practical.
